THE MACAU PAVILIONSHANGHAI EXPO 2010The Experience:
Commissioned by the Macau Government, Telemedia created “The Harmony of Macau”, a thrilling multimedia tour of Macau, presented through state of the art animations, holograms, 3D images, breathtaking panoramic views and other breakthrough technologies.
Telemedia overcame the pavilion’s complex and limiting architecture to produce a multi-floor walk-through multi-sensory encounter with people, places and experiences, taking visitors beyond Macau’s image as a gaming resort to an experience of its heritage, architecture and everyday life – a thriving country with a varied offering for tourists.
More than a million visitors enjoyed Telemedia’s plot-driven holistic presentation – joining a father and two children on their journey as they set out in search of a magic Rabbit Lantern. Along the way, they encountered unforgettable vistas, sounds and sensations linked to Macau's history and culture, its port and night life.
Telemedia’s immersive presentation technologies amazed and entranced visitors, making them feel that they were actually in Macau.
This pioneering presentation was selected as one of the most attractive pavilions at the Shanghai Expo and honored with prestigious awards, including the Reddot Communication Design Award, Editor’s Choice of Exhibition Magazine and a Silver Plague from the Chicago International Film Festival.
